Nothing prepared me for the front suspension….On my old WK I could have the struts out in about 30 minutes…I did a lot of work on that Jeep and really fine tuned that suspension. Miss that Jeep.. This WK2 was something else, 2 full 8 hour days spend wrenching on the front and stepping in situations I was not prepared for.
When you put a suspension lift on your jeep, you alter the steering geometry of the vehicle. There's no exception, if you lifted your jeep, your castor angle is wrong and your steering demonstrates one or more of the following characteristics: 1) The steering wanders, particularly at higher speeds.
2" suspension lift (either spacers of springs) plus 1.25" body lift. Get shocks of the appropriate length, adjust your bumpstops correctly and you'll be pretty set for 33s. 35s would require more suspension lift (which will require driveline work), unless you wanted to get serious with a sawzall and even then you'd end up with limited uptravel.
The bump stop won't be causing that noise unless you are in the habit of regularly bottoming out your suspension. Otherwise they won't be touching anything. The rear of my WJ has recently taken to making squeaky noises going over speed bumps too, and the control arms, shocks, and sway bar links are all new.

The other, less serious (and expensive) air suspension repair, happened at maybe around 150,000 miles. I think it involved replacing some air lines that were leaking. Getting parts and a dealership willing to do the repair on the blown air bag was a problem while on the road far from home.
Hey all. We recently picked up a 2017 Jeep Wrangler JK Sport with ~140k miles on it. The ride quality isn't fantastic, all shocks/springs seem to be original. I've done the standard "put weight on each corner and release test." The Jeep certainly doesn't just bounce up and immediately settle.

I m planning to replace my stock suspension & shocks. I thought i might get a decent set. I m using my CJ for onroad mostly with some very light offroad travelling occasionally and running with 15" 31 tyres. What suspension & shock kit should i consider? I want something that will be comfortable...
